2002
Ethan began as the original enterprise IT provider — back when IT wasn't cool and retailing was the full sum of things. We set out to solve problems our clients didn't have the in-house capabilities to solve themselves.
We invested early in enterprise systems certifications from brands like HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and other vendors. This enabled us to provide specialist IT products and services very few businesses could offer.
2003
We quickly evolved our service capabilities, investing heavily in becoming an IT services business.
Over the next eight years, we achieved an average annual growth rate of 68 percent.
2005
Ethan was named Australia's Fastest Growing Company by BRW Magazine.
2007
During the global financial crisis, when 75 percent of businesses experienced a decline, we grew by 38 percent.
2009
In 2009, when Mitel became the first provider in the world to virtualise voice, we partnered with them to develop a true cloud-based unified communications service — years before the market came to accept the concept of utility computing.
Our vision was to connect customers and environments to our data centres, unifying services to offer multi-cloud capabilities. We would address all business objectives, rather than just cherry picking problems to solve or leaning on the profitable areas only.
We had a bigger and more comprehensive vision, and that year we invested over $100 million in developing our proprietary cloud platform.
2010
We formed AAPT Business Connect and evolved our telco capabilities, providing voice, data and internet services.
2012
Ethan Cloud launched as a unified service, offering voice, data and cloud capabilities.
Our success with Mitel and the strength of our cloud platform helped us grow Ethan into a true cloud services provider. We became known for our end-to-end accountability — the company which solves all of our clients' problems, from IT to virtualisation, and supports a successful outcome.
Ethan Cloud has since serviced more than 500,000 users.
2018
Ethan became an accredited NBN Wholesale and Retail Service Provider with 100 percent connectivity in all 121 POIs.
2019
We built Australia's first ubiquitous network — a next generation, cloud-ready telecommunications platform which gave us complete telco independence.
2020
A major proof point of Ethan's maturity is that we work with more than 3,000 clients whose businesses are expanding globally. We provide a simple, aggregated approach to telecommunications, cloud, IT and finance, all of which removes complexity and scales with our clients as they grow into global markets.
