Ethan has recently won a bid to provide 2,500 Microsoft Surface Pro tablets to the Federal Department of Human Services (DHS).

Ethan has recently won a computer equipment and accessories contract with the Federal Government’s Department of Human Services (DHS). The $5.79M contract will see the Sydney-based IT services company provide 2,500 Microsoft Surface Pro tablets, each with 256GB Intel Core i5 and 8GB RAM.

The contract also includes 2,500 Computertrace software licenses.

“This is for Asset Replacement and is being undertaken as part of business as usual activity,” said a spokesperson for DHS, stopping short of specifying the products being replaced.

Ethan was selected from 33 IT firms via the Digital Transformation Agency’s ICT Hardware and Associated Services Panel, beating out providers like Data#3, Dell, Dimension Data, HP and Lenovo.

Ethan was selected for providing the best value for money to the department.
