Ethan was recently chosen by the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) to support federal agencies in adopting cloud to deliver core services.

Ethan has been named as a supplier of Cloud services to the Australian Federal government.

The Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) made the move as part of efforts to enable federal agencies to begin to adopt Cloud services.

This in turn is part of AGIMO's objective of establishing the Datacentres-as-a-Service (DCaaS) Multi Use List (MUL), and the Ethan will be added to the MUL.

Ethan chief executive officer, Paul Kawtal, said the appointment is a result of the company’s heavy investment into technology, redundant infrastructure and skilled specialists in the Cloud field.

“This accreditation is a strong endorsement of the investment we made a long time ago to position Ethan as an industry leader in cloud innovation and customer success,” he said. “This achievement also recognises our long history of working with government and their trust in Ethan.”

According to Kawtal, the Federal Government will make use of the Ethan’s cloud services, a move that he sees saving money and improving services to Australians in what he calls the “Internet century.”

As part of the deal, Ethan is expected to work with several government departments on the provision of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
